Stephen Montagna’s approach to practicing law is straightforward: One size does not fit all.
A thorough knowledge and understanding of each client’s circumstances and needs is what separates Stephen Montagna from his peers. He prides himself on relating to his clients, prioritizing their goals and concerns, and applying thorough analysis and organization to ensure the best possible resolution in every matter. Using a combination of thorough preparation, courtroom experience and dedication to provide the highest levels of representation, he has helped achieve the best possible outcomes for many of his clients.
Stephen currently represents clients in a broad range of complex family law matters, including divorce, separation, contested custody and access, child support, domestic violence, separation agreements, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, alimony, property distribution, contempt/enforcement actions, post -judgment modifications, conservatorships, guardianships, and other Probate Matters.
Stephen also represents clients in pursuing Title II and Title XVI Social Security disability benefits, and has successfully advocated and achieved results at all levels of the Social Security Process.
Prior to joining Hodson & Mullin, Stephen clerked for Hartford Connecticut based law firm whose primary focus was business litigation, formation, and transactional claims. Stephen also completed a clerkship at the Solano County Facilitator’s Office, providing support and assistance for unrepresented litigants in their family law matters.
Stephen is a member of the Family Law sections of both the Solano County Bar Association and California State Bar. Stephen is also an active member of the ABA Young lawyers division as well as a participant in a Domestic Violence roundtable that participates and contributes for the Family Violence Appellate Project.
Stephen and his wife, Fawn, enjoy spending their down time with family and friends, exploring the Wine Country and amateur barbecuing. They and their young son reside locally.
